To promote fatherhood and male engagement (FME) in nurturing young children, ARNEC and the ECCD Council of the Philippines jointly conducted a training program for child development teachers and workers (CDT/Ws) of the Municipalities of Cainta, Rizal and Batan, Aklan.

The first training was held in Tagaytay City from September 24 to 26, 2025 and the other in Roxas City, 21-24 October 2025, which were aimed at enhancing the competencies of the local workforce in FME and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), among others.

Additionally, a workshop was organised to gather community inputs for the co-creation of parenting and caregiving resources on FME. This initiative seeks to strengthen the bond between fathers and male caregivers, as well as female caregivers, with young children, including partners, in support of FME objectives.

These training activities support the implementation of the M-nurturing project, which is funded by the Early Childhood Regional Networks (ECRN) Fund.
